The Basics

Camaraderie. Competition. Challenge.

Fight Club Chapter 10 is a 10-week journey STARTING May 1, 2023, with an informational kickoff meeting on Friday, April 21. Fight Club is a program where men are required to complete weekly challenges (on their own time) within the context of community and accountability. A three-strike rule applies to all challenges. These challenges change weekly and cover spiritual, relational, and physical assignments, along with Scripture memorization, and many opportunities to try something new–sometimes intimidating, and sometimes just for fun.

What is Fight Club?
Fight Club was created by men for men to reach men. Community (aka camaraderie) is a core ingredient of Fight Club. The idea that “we’re in this together” is experienced in four main ways: 1) large group gatherings, 2) smaller groups, 3) online (closed Facebook group), & 4) accountability groups.

Why Fight Club?
It’s no secret the disappearance of man is a cultural epidemic, affecting our homes, schools, workplaces, churches, & communities. With increasing desperation, the church is working to remedy this, but many of our churches, despite their best efforts, are still failing to reach men. That’s because many methods used by churches are missing these indispensable masculine ingredients: camaraderie, competition, & challenge.

These things run in our blood. From boyhood, this is our native language. Every man intrinsically “gets” these and Fight Club employs these concepts to awaken Christian men from mediocrity, strengthen them emotionally, intellectually, physically, and spiritually, resurrect the true masculine community, and mobilize them for maximum impact in their families, churches, & communities.

The name Fight Club comes from Nehemiah 4:14:
After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the officials, the nobles, and the rest of the people, ‘Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.'”

What does it cost to be in Fight Club?
There’s no registration fee, but you may be asked to purchase a book that we’ll go through together. Upon graduating, you will be eligible to purchase Fight Club materials if you want to.

Are there any age limits?
Because some of the challenges are pretty intense, all men must have completed high school, or be at least 18 years of age. Fight Club is an inter-generational group–we want to reach men of all ages and stages.
