Over the past several months, this year’s election has led many to pray for our nation. We as a church have prayed together in the weeks leading up to the election and will continue. Please join us in continuing to pray for our nation and leadership.
LORD, we have prayed through this election that You would guide the voters and place in office the elected leader of Your choice, knowing that the elected leader would only represent half of America.
Now we are all in a divided America and we all share in the responsibility of building a stronger America!
Help us to seek ways to build bridges with those who do not share our opinions or perspectives.
Guard our hearts from allowing our actions and words to offer anything but love!
Realizing that the world must recognize us by our love, let there be no hint of intolerance or prejudice but love to all people, no matter their race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation or status in life.
Give us the love of Christ that reaches all people and welcomes others of different thought to feel safe, respected and loved. In the Name and power of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
